When I was in my twenties I observed first hand how your age might be affected by the thoughts that you think. I worked with a group of women in the shipping department of a model rocket company. Two older women in particular caught my attention.
One of them looked very old and had many wrinkles. Her face was always in a scowl. Even when I try to picture her to this day all I can visualize is her scowl. She always had her arms crossed in a protective manner or as if she were freezing. She always seemed to be unhappy or worried about something. I cannot remember her any other way.
The other woman was older but she looked years younger. She was a little plump, but she had no wrinkles on her face at all. She was approaching retirement age. She always looked happy and always seemed to have a smile or grin on her face. She never seemed to worry about anything.
I deduced that attitude and thoughts are what made the difference in the two women. One woman looked older because of the thoughts that she engaged in. She was always worried. Her thoughts were reflected all over her face. By looking at her you knew you were looking into the face of a very negative and unhappy person.
So I took note of this and kept it in mind. I decided that to avoid aging, I should think pleasant thoughts, and not to worry about things. I decided to work on this and study this more. It was all about being happy and having a positive attitude. Think thoughts of love. Do not worry about the state of affairs. Worry and negative thinking will age you rapidly. With this in mind I decided to be more carefree and relaxed. It requires a new attitude. The solution became:
“Think Pure Thoughts”
So what is a “pure” thought? Simply put, it is a thought of something that you want and that you like and that makes you feel happy. It is a thought of health and a thought of love. A pure thought is a good thought and good thoughts about other people.
Pure thoughts are thoughts that do not manifest bad things that make you sick or unhappy. The state of being sick and unhappy is not the natural state of spirit. It is created by toxic and harmful thoughts.
